Effective health, safety, and environmental management
Mott MacDonald offers integrated services in health, safety, and
environment (HSE). We're fully conversant with relevant global
standards and codes and are ISO 14001 certified. Our qualified HSE
team can undertake full extrinsic audits on third parties.
Health and safety
In the areas of health and safety, we have well-established
internal processes, including risk assessment processes and suite
of hazard identification and mitigation measures. For each project
we develop a project specific HSE plan incorporating client
requirements. At site level we develop detailed procedures
particularly for known field works and as inputs to permit to work
systems. In addition, we manage the health and safety aspects of
construction camps as well as the construction sites
themselves.
Environment
Our environmental teams specialise in energy related projects and
have undertaken environmental impact assessments for all types of
oil and gas infrastructure projects. In addition, we have developed
environmental management specifications and have translated these
into environmental management plans which we help implement and
manage.
Risk and safety
Our approach is to ensure that all risk and safety assessments are
conducted as an integral part of the engineering effort. In
assessing safety, we review all operations comprehensively and
conduct on-site investigations as required. We assess the risk and
safety of onshore and offshore operations, structures and systems.
We examine new or existing systems to identify and assess hazards,
and assess availability, reliability, and risk involved in their
operation.
Experienced staff
All work is carried out by experienced engineers with comprehensive
understanding of the system under investigation, and in close
collaboration with those responsible for its design and operation.
