Civil and structural engineering

Excellence in civil engineering

Within the oil and gas sector our civil and structural engineers cover all aspects of design from on-plot facilities and tank farms to pipeline construction and landfalls to jetties and bunkering facilities. We also have expertise in crossings design covering auguring and horizontal directional drilling, shafts and tunnels and jacket/template/manifold installation.

Our civil and structural discipline works commences in the project definition phase so that we can assist clients, considering all logistical factors, in choosing optimum locations for new developments.

The discipline covers all phases of oil and gas projects with major inputs at the detailed design and engineering phase covering areas such as plot preparation cut and fill, buildings, foundations and supports for piping and pipe rack design.

Our design work is based upon specialist in-house skills from senior engineers down to designers using STAAD.PRO design suites and in-house proprietary MATHCAD software.

In addition to basic civil and structural engineering, we are involved in site investigation and geotechnical and topographical survey support from specification definition to contract/sub-contract award and management. To provide a fully rounded service we also offer a full range of field construction supervisory services, augmented by a quantity surveyor role if required.
