Design and strategic advisory services for storage
Mott MacDonald has a strong history with the planning, design, and
construction management of storage facilities.
Examples of our work include:
- undertaking storage tank design and engineering in relation to
trans-shipment terminals, fuel depots, bunkering facilities and
points of final product utilisation plus transient bulk and
products storage facilities
- designing storage facilities from crude through diesel and Jet
A1 fuel to bitumen tanks together with the associated handling
facilities
- contributing to underground gas storage projects such as
seasonal to diurnal storage
These tank farms are often engineered in conjunction with terminal
facilities where we also deal with jetties, PLEMs and loading
buoys, bunkering stations, rail and road tanker loading facilities,
airport aviation storage and vessel loading infrastructure.
